Ultra Lane 1080 AM Detection System
The Ultra Lane AMS-1080 detection system consists of an AMS-1080 controller, up to four AMS-1080 antennas, and up to two pairs of Ranger ferrite antennas. The detection system deters theft in up to four food store checkout aisles (each aisle independently supported) by activating an alarm when it detects the unique response of an active Ultra Max security label. To detect a label, AMS-1080 antenna(s) connected to the controller emit a magnetic field close to the label's natural frequency causing it to vibrate at the frequency of the field. When the field is removed, energy in the tag/label dissipates resulting in a tag signal. The AMS-1080 antenna(s)—and Ranger antennas, if used—pick up incoming signals and send them to the controller which determines if they are indicative of a tag signal. If it is, then the controller activates an audio/visual alarm at the top of the AMS-1080 antenna that detected the label. When the AMS-1080 antenna is positioned between two adjacent checkout aisles, each side of the visual alarm can be set to light only in the aisle where the label was detected. |
